  • Special tax status: the Global Residence Programme, The Residence Programme, the Malta Retirement Programme and the United Nations Pensions Programme. These are being reformed and consolidated under Malta's forthcoming Individual Tax Programme framework, and clients are advised on the position both as it stands and as it changes.
  • Citizenship: naturalisation under the Maltese Citizenship Act (Chapter 188 of the Laws of Malta). Following the Court of Justice ruling in Commission v Malta (Case C-181/23), Malta repealed the former investor citizenship regulations, and there is no longer any route to Maltese citizenship that is acquired principally in consideration of a financial contribution. Residence is the first legal status for anyone seeking to live in Malta beyond a temporary stay; citizenship, where it arises at all, follows from residence, and not the reverse. In line with the position stated by the Community Malta Agency, the citizenship legislation is not marketed or promoted; it is advised on.
  • Representation and compliance: acting as Residency Malta Agency Licensed Agent or authorised representative where a programme requires one, including ongoing compliance representation and Nomad Residence Permit renewals.
  • Property and tenancy: finding and acquiring property, including the qualifying property several programmes require; registration and renewal of leases with the Housing Authority; and assistance with tenant deregistration procedures.
